My McLaren Vale is owned and operated by a local McLaren Vale husband-and-wife team, Brie and Jon. We specialise in private, premium McLaren Vale wine tour experiences.

Brie is a qualified Winemaker with 22 years of experience working in wineries across Australia and internationally.

Jon has worked in some of McLaren Vale’s most elite Cellar Doors and was awarded the “McLaren Vale Star” for Cellar Door Person of the Year in 2017 as well as the “Ambassador of McLaren Vale” in 2023

Our tours are for those seeking more than just a driver. With our deep local knowledge and personal relationships with wineries and producers, we can offer you the best of McLaren Vale wine, craft beer, gin and whisky.

Each tour is fully tailored, with a personalised itinerary based around your preferred wine styles, interests and pace for the day.

Our Lunch Option takes you to McLaren Vale’s most iconic restaurant, The Salopian Inn. Here you will be treated to a decadent feast from their seasonal menu, showcasing fresh regional produce.

MEET JON

Awarded a “McLaren Vale Star” for Cellar Door Person of the Year in 2017 and “The Ambassador of McLaren Vale” 2023, Jon has extensive knowledge of the region’s wine styles, varieties and producers.

Backed by Viticulture qualifications and study through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), Jon has been working in Cellar Doors in both Australia and New Zealand since 2010

Jon sits on the McLaren Vale Wine Show committee and has been Chief Steward at the McLaren Vale Wine Show since 2023.

MEET BRIE

Brie graduated from Adelaide University with a degree in Oenology (Winemaking) in 2002. Having worked 22 vintages in many varied wine regions including Margaret River, Yarra Valley, Marlborough, Adelaide Hills, the USA and (of course) McLaren Vale, Brie has extensive knowledge of all aspects of winemaking.

Most recently, Brie was a winemaker at McLaren Vale’s Chapel Hill Winery, finishing up in 2025.

Brie’s Winemaking experience combined with her insider knowledge of the region make her a rare resource as a Winery Tour Guide.

We had a fantastic day with Jon visiting 6 wineries in McLaren Vale. Jon is really knowledgeable about wine so we learnt a whole lot!
